What gives us confidence when the gospel is met with rejection?
In this message from Exodus 6:9–13, Rodney C. Brown Jr. reminds us that the confidence of the believer does not rest in our ability to convince others, but in the authority of the God who has given us the message. Just as Moses was commissioned to speak on behalf of God, we have been entrusted with the gospel and sent with a message backed by divine authority.
Through the promises God gives to His people in Exodus 6, we are reminded of His covenant faithfulness—He is our God, our Deliverer, our Father, and the One who gives us an inheritance. Even rejection cannot thwart His sovereign purposes. In fact, God sovereignly uses the rejection of His message to accomplish His purposes and display His glory through both justice and mercy.
The calling is not to carry the burden of convincing people. Our responsibility is to faithfully deliver the message, trusting the God who sovereignly fulfills His mission.
