Believers take every opportunity to extol God’s greatness so that the lost might come to faith… and it starts with family.
After the victory over Amalek, Moses is reunited with his father-in-law Jethro. Moses does not merely exchange small talk. He recounts in detail everything the Lord has done—delivering Israel from Egypt, providing for them, and defeating their enemies. Jethro responds with praise and comes to faith, declaring, “Now I know that the Lord is greater than all the gods.”
Moses models what it means to “own the room” for God’s greatness: building genuine relationships, going deep, and confidently proclaiming the works of the Lord. The message begins at home. If we will not speak clearly of Christ to our own families, we do not yet love them as we should.
