God’s children must sing of our great salvation.
After the Lord defeats Pharaoh’s army at the Red Sea, Israel stands on the shore and responds with a victory song. This is not a song about their own courage or Moses’ leadership. It is a song that exalts the Lord alone—the Warrior who fought for them, judged their enemies, and saved them by His mighty hand.
Exodus 15 is the first great hymn of redemption in Scripture. It teaches us that when God delivers His people, the only fitting response is worship that gives Him all the glory. We who have been saved through the greater Exodus at the cross are likewise called to sing of our great salvation.
