Believers gratefully give God glory for their redemption and blessing.
In this message from Exodus 11:1-10, the final plague is announced: the death of the firstborn. Payday has arrived for Egypt’s stubborn rebellion against Yahweh. At the same time, God gives His people favor in the sight of the Egyptians so they will leave with silver and gold—plundering their former oppressors.
This text calls God’s people to stop and give Him grateful glory. The same God who judges the hard-hearted also redeems and richly blesses His own. Our proper response is worship and thanksgiving for both the redemption and the blessing He has accomplished for His glory.
